Welcome to the IP Grid Network Operations Center

In October of 2003, Indiana University began to form a proposal to connect a portion of the Indiana University compute and visualization resources to an NSF project called the Distributed Terascale Facility (DTF). At that time, there were five sites connected to the DTF: Argonne National Labs (ANL), San Diego Supercomputing Center (SDSC), National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA), Caltech and Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center (PSC). They were collectively known as the Extsensible Terascale Facility (ETF). The NSF awarded Indiana University and Purdue University with a joint award to connect both campus resources to the Teragrid. This collaboration is known as IPGrid.
